Goodbye, Luciano (1935-2007)

He started as a choir boy at a young age and started in the profession of insurance sales. He continued to study singing "on the side", and made his operatic debut in the early '60s. Considered to be the worlds greatest tenor, Pavarotti sang to 500,000 people in New York's Central Park.

Luciano Pavarotti passed away on September 6, 2007 in his birth town: Modena, Italy, at the age of 71 after a long bout with pancreatic cancer.

Goodbye, Luciano - We'll miss you!
