Ronald Wilson Reagan
Born, February 6, 1911, Tampico, Illinois
Died, June 5, 2004, Los Angeles, California

This week we honor the life of our President, Ronald W. Reagan - from his roots in Illinois to his ranch in Santa Barbara County.

Ronald Reagan called for tearing down walls. He was a Democrat and a Republican, pushing for sweeping changes in the way the government operates, and known by his pragmatism.

But most of all, he was known by his human charm and ability to communicate and relate to people on a "down-to-earth" basis - whether it was Mikhail Gorbachev or Jake Copass.
