Santa Ynez, CA -

San Lorenzo Seminary - Retreat Center and the San Lorenzo Foundation will hold its 22nd annual Dinner and Auction on Saturday, September 9, 2006.

Everyone is invited to participate in this very special occasion. Br. Joe Slominski, who is Polish, has served the local community for over 35 years as a Capuchin Franciscan Brother at San Lorenzo. In recognition of him, the theme for this year’s fundraiser is “An Evening in Warsaw”. Four years ago, San Lorenzo began a series of themed events that have proven to be very popular, and this one will be no exception.

The William H. Hannon Foundation has provided the San Lorenzo event with a luxury Hawaiian trip for to the raffle: a Pleasant Holidays Vacation for Two to Maui, Hawaii. This includes round trip air travel from LAX for 2; 8 days, 7 nights at the Royal Lahaina Resort; and $500 credit at selected resort restaurants. A second prize of $500 cash is also being offered. Tickets are $5 each or $20 for a book of 5. The winner need not be present to win.

All are looking over the event site in preparation for an enjoyable and entertaining evening.

Both a silent and live auction will highlight the evening. Many wonderful items will be available featuring trips, numerous stays at premiere hotels throughout the western states, paintings by local artists, and a really outstanding selection of wines from local vintners. Dozens of additional auction items include gift certificates from local merchants, specialty gift baskets of various themes put together by the local church community, and many more exceptional items which await your bid.

The silent auction will precede the dinner and live auction. All proceeds from the event will benefit San Lorenzo in its continuing efforts to provide a retreat haven for groups and individuals seeking peace and solitude. The Dinner/Auction event is the ONLY fundraiser for San Lorenzo this year!

Entertainment will be provided for your enjoyment throughout the evening.
