Where? At the Grange Hall, 2374 Alamo Pintado Ave., Los Olivos CA, on Saturday, May 15th, starting at 8:00 PM.
Peter, who has made a life-long study of American folk and bluegrass music and is noted as an excellent Monroe-style mandolinist and singer, will be joined by his cadre of fine musicians, including multi-instrumentalist David West on banjo, Mike Nadolson of Tricopolis Records on flat-top guitar, Tommy Marton, a great contest-style and bluegrass fiddler, and "visiting bassist" Phil Pritchard of Santa Ynez. Peter has been performing and presenting bluegrass, folk, string band, and related musics in California and Nevada since the early 1960's, and is known as the founder of the Santa Barbara Old Time Fiddler's Convention (now in its 35th year), and the original Bluebird Café in Santa Barbara, a music club highly influential on the Southern California Music scene. He has developed a new approach to the music, blending earlier songs and tunes with a more modern stylistic treatment, and calls the result "Neo-Classic Country Music".
